Core Principles has helped me get back into an exercise routine which has been irregular since my gym shut down during Covid. I could tell from the first meeting with the owner and trainers that they were taking the time to understand my goals and would be working with me to achieve them. They have the right combination of positive support and high expectations which keeps me motivated to continue. When I leave my two training sessions each week I feel stronger, energetic, and proud of myself.

For those 55 yr old and older I highly recommend Core Principles. With no more than 6 people per class and sometimes less which allows for plenty of time for personal attention so much so that I feel each work out is individually tailored to me. Haylin, Julie and all the other certified instructors have shown me the correct positions for all the different exercises. They teach you the basics and then advance you as quickly or as slowly as needed. I feel my core and lower bank getting stronger and I would not have made this progress at any other gym.or trainers. I checked and only Core Principles caters to those 55 and over.

I joined Core Principles' online classes during the Covid period to battle both isolation and the need to get healthy. I loved the idea of getting personal training at home, on my own time. I also loved the community of people who connected each week via Zoom; they were warm and friendly and between Pat and Haylin kept us interested and motivated. Once life started to get busy again that became harder to maintain and for a while I had to stop. But health concerns brought me back this time into the studio and I liked very much the smallness of the classes, that many of the people were a little closer to my age and most importantly, the individual attention of the trainers. The trainers are all very friendly, motivating and encouraging so that you feel from week to week as if you are building strength and making progress. It is certainly rigorous but the joy is to see yourself doing better and feeling stronger. I am a person with some medical challenges and a really busy schedule for a retiree but I have managed to squeeze in my two classes a week (I would love to do more but for a retiree on a fixed income affordability is always an issue) and try really hard to attend regularly. When I miss I can feel the difference in my body and my sleep. I am a terrible insomniac but when I exercise sleep comes far easier. I also find I have less of a tendency to snack and concentrate more on eating healthily when I am exercising regularly. So if you are in your 60s or 70s and you are looking for a place to exercise so you can feel stronger and maintain a good healthy lifestyle. Core Principles is probably for you. See you there.

I’m so happy I discovered Core Principles! I began my journey with CP around 15 months ago…. And I am still at it. I increased my sessions to 3 x p week just recently. I started the class because I wanted to do weight bearing exercises. I have increased my weights substantially. The instructors are wonderful. They guide you through the entire session and will take take ailments, you may have, into consideration. I also wanted to be in an environment that was not judgemental and considered my age for appropriate exercises. CP does that for me!

Core Principles makes working out fun and enjoyable. You are in a small class 6 or less and helped to make sure your position is correct. If you need a exercise to be modified the trainer will help you. Emily the trainer is great in encouraging you to increase weights and exercising you to the fullest. This encouragement helps physically and mentally. The location and plenty of parking makes it easy to get there.

Haylin and his staff are top notch! They are extremely knowlegeable and compassionate people who are committed to help you succeed at your pace. I found myself with no stamina or strength and facing a trip to Greece. I am so grateful to Core Principals for getting me to the place where I actually climbed to the top of the Acropolis. Every week I see improvement and look forward to the workouts. I highly recommend them.

I have been going to Core Principles for a year and I highly recommend this program. Emily, the primary trainer carefully guides the class and watches/corrects each participant as well as modifies any exercise as needed. The program gets refreshed every sixth week and the exercise routine it’s structured differently in three two-day segments. The gym is clean and will maintained and there is a certain camaraderie among the participants. I appreciate the scheduling flexibility in the app as well.Haylin, the owner, is caring and approachable and has created a fun and supportive environment where people over 50 can work out (and groan as needed) with no shame.

I’ve been a member of Core Principles for eight months now. I’m very happy with myself as I have been very consistent in getting to my classes twice a week! The weight lifting workouts are such a help not only with building strength and tone, but with improving my balance as well. The environment at Core Principles is very comfortable, making everyone feel welcome and valued. The ratio of 1 coach for no more than 6 members is perfect - I always feel that I’m getting the instruction and encouragement I need. Best Semi-Private training I've found for the 50+ population. Since joining Core two years ago, I feel stronger, have more energy, clothes fit better and lost some weight. Workouts are fun, trainers are excellent and the atmosphere is very supportive. Haylin and Pat are terrific at adapting the workout for me on the days my joints would have rather stayed in bed and I always feel better at the end of those workouts than when I walked into the gym. The Core Principles team recognizes One Size Doesn't Fit All and I highly recommend them. 9/1/22 On safari in Cape Town, South Africa. Am in my early 70’s and hiked to the top of the Cape of Good Hope along a very steep and rocky trail. Couldn’t have done it without my Core workouts and fabulous support team of Haylin, Pat, Emily and Michelle. Their workouts prepare you for the adventures you want to have. I highly recommend Core Principles and encourage you to give them a try. You deserve it!
