6 Funtastic Breakfast Ideas

Yes, breakfast is important. You have heard that tune sung many times before. The question we get most often is, “what are some quick and easy breakfast options?” Here are 6 options that you can try that check most of the boxes of what a complete meal should include. Some planning and preparing will set you up for success!

1. Overnight Oats & Protein Shake



Ingredients: 



Overnight Oats 




– 1/3 cup rolled oats



– 1/3 – 1/2 cup milk [depending on how thick you like it]



– 1/3 cup plain yogurt



– 1/2 banana



– 1/2 tbsp chia seeds



– Pinch salt



– Pinch cinnamon


Protein Shake




– Mix your favorite protein powder –



here is one that we like



– add water and stir!

2. Muffin Tin Fritatta w/Fruit or Berries



Ingredients




– 8 large organic eggs, whipped and seasoned with salt and pepper



– 8 oz. cremini sliced (or whatever mushrooms you like)



– 2 cups kale torn away from the stem in random bite-sized pieces



– 12 grape tomatoes, quartered



– 12 slices of fresh mozzarella



– 1/4 cup fresh chopped Italian parsley, stems removed



– 3 to 4 tbs extra virgin olive oil



– 1 small onion, medium diced



– 1 small garlic clove, finely chopped



– Opt. 1 teaspoon nutritional yeast


Side




– Piece of fruit or berries

3. Ezekiel Bread w/Avocado & Roast Turkey or Turkey Bacon w/a Side of Berries



Ingredients:




– 1 slice of Ezekiel bread



– 1/2 a large, ripe avocado



– 1 tablespoon olive oil



– 1 tablespoon lemon juice, or more to taste



– Salt



– An unholy amount of red pepper flakes


Sides




– Roast Turkey or Turkey Bacon



– Berries

4. Banana Flax Muffin w/Plain Greek Yogurt w/Walnuts & Cinnamon



Ingredients:




– 2 1/2 cups of old fashioned oats



– 6oz of plain low fat greek yogurt (or one of those individual cups)



– 2 eggs



– 1/2 cup of raw honey



– 2 teaspoons of baking powder



– 1 teaspoon of baking soda



– 2 tablespoons of flaxseed meal



– 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract



– 2 ripe bananas



– Opt: chocolate chips, berries, nuts, etc.

5. Hard Boiled Eggs w/ Mix Nuts & a Slice of Ezekiel Bread



Ingredients:




– 2 eggs (hard boiled)



– Handful of mixed nuts



– 1 slice of Ezekiel bread

6. Super Shake



Ingredients:




– Protein powder



– Water and/or milk of your choice



– Frozen/fresh fruit



– Some green vegetables



– A healthy fat (avocado or nuts)

Blend and go!
