Core Principles Strength & Conditioning is a results-based, full-service provider of fitness training programs. We come to you. Fitness programs can take place at your corporate fitness center, at your home, or at the Core Principles facility located in downtown Stamford. We believe the body was made to move and we do not believe in a “one size fits all” approach, so we build personalized programs that get you to your goals.

Core Principles uses sound fitness programs implemented by accomplished and passionate fitness coaches to bring a safe, fun and motivating fitness environment to you. Core Principles, based in lower Fairfield County works with corporate employees, young athletes, accomplished college athletes, and busy parents looking to improve their fitness.

Core Principles provides personal training and fitness programs for working professionals at your corporate fitness center. We work directly with companies to create a menu of fitness offerings specifically suited for your company and size of the fitness center. The quality and effectiveness of our programming and coaching typically only found in strength and conditioning facilities and not in a corporate setting, is what makes Core Principles different. Our programs are proven to improve the health and wellness of employees.

Core Principles is an innovative fitness coaching service changing the way corporate fitness and in-home training is done. Core Principles does not subscribe to a “one size fits all” training program and is not focused on “the next best thing.” Core Principles uses sound strength and conditioning principles and programs typically found in esteemed strength and conditioning facilities. We bring that experience to you. Core Principles operates in lower Fairfield County at corporate fitness centers, in private homes and other private training facilities. Outstanding service and measurable results is what defines Core Principles. We pride ourselves on excellent client service, exceptional training programs and qualified coaches, beyond, what is typically found in the fitness industry. OUR PHILOSOPHY

Before you embark on a training program with Core Principles, we want to first take the time to find out specifically what your needs are. You will complete a Strategy Session. The information gathered will become the blueprint for your personalized program to get you to your individual goals.

A Strategy Session will include:

• A complete review of your health history including any medical conditions, past injuries and medical procedures

• An understanding and review of your lifestyle challenges, eating habits, physical activities and training history

• Completion of multiple movement assessments, including the Functional Movement Screen, the industry standard used to assess mobility, stability, and functional movement patterns i.e. how you move

The Strategy Session is designed to provide your fitness coach with essential information needed to craft your customized program and determine where your program should start and what it should include. Our athletes, executives and busy parents are all assessed and programmed with the same approach. Our approach is results driven and for great results you need a great program and excellent coaches who will lead you through your progress.

OUR APPROACH

We want to help you move better and become healthier than you have ever been. Our approach to programming is customized using:

• Focus on Movement Quality: Quality movement is the foundation of all of our training. We use movement screens to tell us how well you move, where you need to improve, and how you may be compensating for poor movement patterns. Functional techniques we use such as the Functional Movement Screen (FMS), NeuroKinetic Therapy (NKT), active stretching, restorative breathing and mobility exercises help restore movement. We focus on movement and movement quality over how much weight you can lift or how many reps you can do.

• Appropriate Cardiovascular Conditioning: Cardio conditioning plays an important role in achieving your goals, but it must be done in the right amount with the right intensity.

• Appropriate Resistance Training: Your body’s muscle is a key to burning fat but developing strength and stability from the ground up with proper progress is essential. That is what will change how you perform in your daily life. We focus on resistance training to build strong and stable bodies.

• Professional Assistance and Progressive Exercise Program Changes: As you carry out your program you will get better at it, it becomes less challenging, and your program must adapt. We modify your plan as necessary in order to ensure you see optimal results.

COACHES

Haylin Alpert, CSCS, FMS, NKT Haylin’s passion for fitness is rooted in witnessing his father’s unwavering commitment to fitness, starting every day no matter the circumstances, with a workout. His father’s inspiration and passion has guided Haylin to inspire others to find the satisfaction and motivation that comes from continually challenging themselves to improve their fitness level and make healthy lifestyle choices. This passion is what fueled Haylin to found Core Principles Strength and Conditioning. Haylin has earned the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification from the nationally accredited National Strength and Conditioning Association. He is a graduate of The University of Vermont and earned a Masters degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and is also a lifelong athlete. In addition to being a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, he is also certified in The Functional Movement Screen, as well as a certified practitioner of Neurokinetic Therapy. His education, passion for movement, use of proven strength and conditioning programming, as well as his time spent working with clients, creates the foundation for Core Principles. Haylin focuses on building trusting relationships that help build strong minds and healthy bodies while not forgetting that fitness should be fun.
